The Blitz

What does Blitz stand for??It’s one word, and the i comes before the “Blitzkrieg” (German, “lightning war”) it is a headline word applied retrospectively to describe a military doctrine of an all-mechanized force concentrating its attack on a small section of the enemy front then, once the latter is broken, proceeding without regard to its flank.”

  • 1. (football) a quick move by defensive players toward the passer on the offensive team, as soon as the ball is snapped; — it is used when the defensive teams assumes that a pass will be attempted, and risks allowing substantial gains by the offensive team if other plays are in fact planned.
  • 2. a rapid and violent military attack with intensive aerial bombardment. Same as blitzkrieg
  • 3. any vigorous and intensive campaign, attack or assault, literally or figuratively; a example would be a coordinated blitz of commercials in print media, television and internet to launch a new product.

Origin of the “Blitz”: during the interwar period (1919 – 1939) aircraft and tank technologies matured and were combined with systematic application of the German tactics of infiltration and bypassing of enemy strong points. When Germany invaded Poland in 1939, Western journalists adopted the term Blitzkrieg to describe this form of armored warfare.
What is an Internet Marketing Blitz Campaign?
Imagine if potential clients could see your message in their email inbox but also see your web site ranked number one of all the major Search Engine like Google, Yahoo, AOL and MSN when they are looking for your product or service.

By executing a combined “Push” and “Pull” marketing strategy at one time, Blitz Event Marketing can not only “push” your marketing messages to targeted email boxes, but also make sure that other potential clients are “pulled” into your web site when they are looking for your product or service on one of the major Internet search engines. This combined marketing activity is what Blitz Event Marketing calls its Internet Marketing Blitz Campaign.
When internet users are looking for a particular product, service, subject, or information pertaining to an area of interest to them, how they do it?
The most common search tool used on the Internet is the Search Engine. When people conduct internet searches, they rarely go beyond the first two pages of results. If your website is to be noticed and attract visitors and potential customers, you need to appear in the top 10 or 20 search results. This is where Blitz Event Marketing comes in, making sure that your website comes up on the first page of results when people are searching for your product(s) or service(s).
